Maintenance Engineering

Sunrise has experienced fire maintenance technicians and professional engineers, and is equipped with multiple full-time maintenance vehicles

Providing 24-hour attendance service improves the timeliness and effectiveness of troubleshooting, and can timely provide customers with daily maintenance of fire-fighting facilities and corresponding emergency repair and fault handling services to maintain fire-fighting facilities to ensure the normal operation of various fire-fighting facilities.

According to the characteristics of fire-fighting equipment, FM/UL/NFPA standards, and relevant national
regulations, maintenance can be divided into three stages: weekly maintenance, quarterly maintenance, and annual maintenance.
Take the FM/UL certified fire pump as an example to illustrate each stage:

  • 01Weekly Maintenance

1.1 Fuel tank level: The fuel tank level should not be lower than 75% of the tank level or the FM diesel fire pump control cabinet sends a low fuel level alarm. If there is any shortage, it should be replenished in a timely manner.

1.2 Lubricating oil level: Observe the marking on the lubricating oil scale. If it is insufficient, fill it to the specified amount (in the middle of the marking), but do not exceed the upper limit of the scale marking.

1.3 Battery cable connector: Check whether there is any looseness during manual pulling. If any looseness is found, tighten it in a timely manner.

1.4 Cooling level: Observe whether the cooling liquid in the water tank is sufficient (not less than 80% of the tank level), and immediately replenish it if insufficient.

1.5 Air intake filter: Observe whether there is any foreign matter attached to the intake port of the air intake filter, and immediately clean it if found.

    1.6 Start and operate the diesel fire pump for 30 minutes according to FM regulations. During operation, such data as the number of revolutions, lubricating oil pressure, battery voltage, water temperature, cooling water pressure, and pump outlet pressure should be recorded;

  • 02Quarterly Maintenance

2.1. Include weekly maintenance plan content

2.2. Check the acid level of the battery: The electrolyte level in the battery is generally 10-15mm below the top surface of the battery plate. If not, immediately add distilled water for adjustment (maintenance free batteries do not require inspection).

2.3 Cooling pipeline valve position: the main pipeline valve should be in the open state, and the auxiliary or bypass pipeline should be in the closed state.

2.4. "Three leaks": Observe whether there is any leakage, emission, dripping, or leakage of water, electricity, and gas around the diesel fire pump unit and on the engine body, and eliminate it in a timely manner if found. (Note: The sealing packing of the water pump is a consumable part. The leakage should be in the form of dripping water, and the tightness of the packing cover should be adjusted if the dripping water flows in a line. When the adjustment amount is completely unable to be adjusted, the sealing packing should be replaced.)

2.5 Fasteners: The foundation bolts of the diesel fire pump unit base, water pump, and engine support bolts all need to be tightened and inspected.

2.6. Electrical: The internal wiring of the engine's operating cabinet and FM certified fire control cabinet needs to be thoroughly inspected. Any looseness or poor connection at the interface of the platoon due to time reasons should be eliminated.

2.7. Fuel system: It is necessary to drain the condensed water and foreign matters accumulated in the fuel filter and fuel tank in the fuel system, which are equipped with a water separator.

2.8 Air intake filter: Clean the dust of the air intake filter.

  • 03Annual Maintenance

3.1 Including weekly and quarterly work content

3.2 Start the diesel fire pump, test the performance of the water pump and engine, and make records (test before maintenance, with no less than 5 measuring points).

3.3 Replace the engine intake filter, fuel filter, and lubricating oil filter.

3.4 Replace and flush the engine coolant and lubricating oil.

3.5 Start the diesel fire pump, test the performance of the water pump and engine, and make records (pre maintenance testing, with at least 5 test points).

3.6 Test and record the failure, status feedback, and control startup of the FM diesel fire pump control cabinet according to the FM certification acceptance requirements and procedures.

The correct maintenance of the fire protection system, especially preventive maintenance, is the easiest and most economical
maintenance, and is also the key to extending the service life and reducing the cost of use, as well as a more effective
guarantee for protecting the safety of users' lives and property.
